Graduating from high school is one of the most precious and rewarding times in a young adults life. Imagine not being able to wear your cap and gown, walk the stage, and celebrate with your friends as you embark on your journey into adulthood. With a pandemic, Kris was not able to do any of this. His entire life he had waited for those moments and they were taken from him only a few shorts weeks before he was to start his college career.
As I talked with him, I learned more about his time in high school. He played soccer for a few years before he stopped playing his senior year. He was in a fashion club where he modeled some clothing, and did a few fashion shows. Obviously, because he looks like a model!
His parents Jona & Kristjan came from Iceland a few years ago and settled in Arizona. However, they traveled all over the country before coming to the Phoenix area. Kris told me he did abroad studies in Sudi Arabia and can speak Icelandic and Arabic. HOW COOL! I loved being able to shoot a few family portraits during this senior session to capture the last few weeks of Kristofer being at home before college. The Gundmunds family was such a blast and I can’t wait to hear more about how Kris’ college career proceeds as he goes into Engineering.
