Rainbows. They come after storms. They come after hardships. They symbolize patience. The long wait that some mothers and fathers have for a tiny being to change their lives forever. Some wait only a short time to meet their babies, some go years. Ultimately though, the wait is worth it all in the end. This is the case for Meghan and Erik.
I’ve photographed these two a handful of times, and let me tell you, Meghan is an absolute goddess. I found out about their pregnancy when I was doing their Christmas card portraits and Meghan spilled the beans! I was so excited I could have honestly cried. She told me they had struggled with infertility and they finally got pregnant with their little miracle baby, a little boy! I literally got SO excited that I think I may have jumped a little when she told me, but I am a little biased to boys.
I wanted to know all about how her pregnancy was going, all the details about baby boy’s nursery and literally just ALL the things. I live vicariously through all of my mamas who are pregnant or have newborns (mostly because I can snuggle the babies and then give them back at the end of it, haha). She told me they are doing a pretty neutral, soft nursery with a few touches of Harry Potter since she is a fan. Although I am not as big of a fan of Harry Potter as some are, I can’t wait to see the nursery and her subtle touches to make it a little special to her and Erik.
