A prayer. The silence. The serenity that washes over all that are present. A moment to take the day in and rejoice in what is to come. The voice of Jesus telling you that He has brought you the one your soul desires and will cherish for eternity. This moment was such a pure and blissful moment for Tina and Michael as they embarked on one of the biggest journeys and chapters of their lives; becoming Mr. and Mrs. Barber.
In an intimate backyard wedding, so beautiful and divine, Tina and Michael pledged their love and devotion for one another in front of their closest friends and family who traveled all over the states to get to watch. I became teary eyed as I watched two people I grew up with, become one. I cheered in high school with Tina for four years, and I was friends with Michael since we were in the same graduating class. Even some of their bridesmaids and groomsmen I knew from high school as well!
Throughout the last few years, I’ve taken many photos for Tina from before she even knew Michael. I photographed her daughters birthday photos every year from her first year, to their last year here in Arizona before they moved all the way out to Georgia after the wedding! To say I am sad that they left and I won’t be able to photograph her annual photos, is an understatement but I am SO proud of the woman, mother, and now wife she has become. I have seen Tina overcome so many obstacles and do so with such poise and grace. She loves Michael and her daughter with her whole heart and it truly showed on their beautiful day in Tucson.
From young teenagers not having a care in the world and making all the wrong decisions, to growing up into adults and being a little less bad at making bad decisions, these two have grown up to become exceptional human beings. I couldn’t be more proud to not only call them one of my Brittany Nemec Photography bride and grooms, but to call them dear friends. As they just passed their one year anniversary (yes, I’m late to the blogging game), I can’t help but wish them so many years of marital bliss. To a thousand more years!
