“Who gives this woman to be married to this man?” ; Laughter breaks out among the guests. “I do!” says Taneal’s dad. Little did you know though, he was the one who also asked the first question. Something so special was happening at this wedding that I had not seen before. Taneal’s dad was marrying her and Octavias. He’s a pastor at their church, and what better way to be fully apart of your daughters wedding day than having the honor to walk her down the aisle and give her away, but also to be the one who marries her.
I knew there was something so special about this family. They were gentle. Kind. Loving. Hospitable. Some of the most warm and welcoming people I have ever met. This wedding definitely had a bump in it, but outside of that, the day was so magical and the people who were apart of it made it so memorable.
Taneal and Octavias did not have a wedding party. They wanted to focus solely on their covenant to each other. It was a beautiful August day, a little hot, but still absolutely beautiful. Octavias’ daughter was their flower girl, and the way that man looked at his little girl when she walked down the aisle, literally brought me to tears.
The love these two share for one another is unmatchable. It is unbreakable. It’s something you dont get to see alot of in todays world. It is a love that is going to last a lifetime. Hold true to the words that were spoken on their wedding day. I wish these two so many years of wedded bliss and happiness although I know they won’t need it for how wonderful they are together.
