Young love. Forever love. There is nothing more sweet than a couple who have been together since they were teenagers. Now they’re getting married in the same town they met in. Hayli and Haydens Sedona Golf Resort Wedding was one of my favorites to shoot this year, in so many ways. First, these two are the absolute definition of true love. I don’t know how people find their soulmate when they are so young, but these two did and it absolutely shows. Not only did they get married among the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Arizona but we also did their engagement photos at Bell Rock there. Now, onto more about their wedding day.
I have always said that I had the most amazing couples. This rang even more true for Hayli and Hayden. The day before their wedding I had to let Hayli know that my mom was in the hospital about to pass away from her short battle with lung cancer. These two were so understanding that I may have needed someone to cover their wedding day in my place. Being the type A personality that I am, I couldn’t do that to my couples. I have loved and served them since the day they booked me. I needed to be there for their wedding day. Although my mom ended up passing away the morning after their wedding, they were so kind and understanding about everything along the way.
I don’t know how I could ever repay them for being such beautiful humans and souls. We even had the most special visitor come up to Hayli during her Sedona Golf Resort wedding; a beautiful butterfly. It landed right on her dress and then proceeded to climb onto her finger. This was a sign from the universe that I was EXACTLY where I needed to be that day. In hindsight, I didn’t even realize it until later on, but I associate my mom with butterflies, and I believe in my heart this was her way of telling me that she approved and knew I needed to be there for my clients that day.
Hayli and Hayden, I don’t know how I got so lucky to have such an amazing couple. You truly are the most selfless, kind, and genuine individuals. Your love speaks volumes. Not only for how you feel about each other, but for how you treat others. I’m so excited for you two to embark on the most beautiful journey in this chapter of your lives. Continue to love and cherish each other the way I’ve seen over the last year of knowing you. You two are so special. To not only each other, but to me, and to all of your friends and family. May you have the most loving and joyful marriage. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bruce!
