San Diego Beach Engagement Session

As a Scottsdale wedding photographer, becoming a California wedding photographer for a minute was SO fun! This San Diego beach engagement session was an absolute dream of mine. When I reached out to my couple to help me create this vision I had, they were all for it. From crashing waves, to a cloudy California beach sunset. You can’t ask for anything much better than that!

Karla and Seath have been friends of mine since high school. I actually cheered with her in high school, so it was an honor to have her in front of my camera again for this San Diego beach engagement session. These two moved to San Diego a few years ago, so what better time to reconnect with them when my family and I were vacationing on Mission Beach in San Diego! I loved getting to catch up with them and their life here now. Karla is a nurse and Seath is in the Marines. They not only get to live in paradise in California, but they are avid travelers and love going anywhere and everywhere.

This session brought me such joy and creativity. Even though Karla didn’t want to get in the freezing ocean water for the ending shots with the waves crashing against them, I think it was WELL worth it! I can’t wait to see them again next year when we come back to California for our annual San Diego vacation. Maybe more couples will bring me out to California for these epic sunset and beach engagement sessions!
