Samantha + Drew | Journey to Baby Frye
As so many of us know, the first year of marriage can be so blissful or it can be filled with challenges. Sometime it’s both. You have so many obstacles to overcome, so many decisions to make as you’re no longer an individual, you’re one with your partner. You share everything (most of the time). When do we buy a house? Do we combine our incomes or keep them separate? When do we start trying to have a family?
For some, those answers come naturally. For some, those decisions happen easily. However, some aren’t as lucky.
Samantha and Drew are some of the kindest individuals I’ve ever met. I photographed their engagement session and their wedding back in December of 2019. Since then, Samantha and Drew have been trying to start a family and I’ve been following along with them on their journey to parenthood. For them, is hasn’t come as easy as others. Samantha has had to do fertility treatments to get where they are today but unfortunately it hasn’t panned out just how they wanted. They were blessed with a pregnancy a few months ago that ultimately ended in a loss. It doesn’t matter how far along you are in a pregnancy when you lose a baby, it hurts just the same. I have prayed countless nights for these two to become parents and I know deep in my heart God has such a big plan for them and that their sweet rainbow baby will be here soon!
If you’ve ever had the absolute honor of meeting Samantha and Drew, you know just how pure their hearts are. They continually give with no expectation of receiving. I know soon on my blog I will be sharing more of their story and I hope you’ll follow along when we get there. In the meantime, I ask all of you to say a little prayer, even if you don’t know either of them, that their miracle baby arrives just when he/she is supposed to and that this challenge for them will be overcome.
Until then, here is their beautiful Christmas session at Sahuaro Ranch Park. All I wanted to do was just hug them and give them all the love I possibly could, but unfortunately COVID didn’t allow it. But next year when I see them again, I’ll give them the biggest bear hug!
