Arizona is one of the most beautiful places, in my opinion. Golden sunsets, beautiful nature, and both desert and greenery locations no matter where you go in the state. Tatum and Drake had the best of both worlds during their Salt River desert engagement session. We had some stunning scenery ranging from giant rock formations, to greenery from a recent rainfall, and beautiful saguaro cacti.
I met these two when I photographed Tatums friends Sabrina and Tommy’s wedding at the Windmill Winery last year, where she was a bridesmaid. Now it was her turn to get married! Tatum and I immediately clicked with our bubbly and joking personalities. It’s felt as if she was one of my friends for the longest time. We can poke fun at each other so easily and just laugh at about it. Tatum and Drake have the same dynamic. I’ve loved watching them through this chapter in their lives. The love they share is unmatched. They make each other laugh in ways I have never seen. The smiles they bring to each other is so pure.
Drake proposed to Tatum on a vacation they had up at Snowbowl, where he asked her to marry him at the top of one of the runs. In full snowboarding gear! How he trusted himself to not lose the ring while they were snowboarding is beyond me.
Being able to capture their Salt River desert engagement session was an absolute favorite of mine. They had the most stunning sunset show up for their photos. They two even popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate this next chapter in their lives. This fall they plan on eloping in Sedona and I CAN NOT wait. Make sure you stay tuned for their elopement photos, because they will be epic!
