Boulders. Water. The breeze. The cooler air. What more could a girl ask for on a couples session? Jenn and Kevin wanted their annual photos together somewhere different, that showcased Arizona in all of its beauty, but without the cacti that typically comes along with it. What better place to go than to Prescott at Watson Lake.
I have “known” Jenn for a few years now, but never formally met her until her session! I used to work for the wonderful Amanda Victoria Beauty, who also did her hair and makeup for this shoot, and that’s how I got to know Jenn. Her, as well as many of her friends (who I have also photographed!) are a lot of Amanda’s past brides who I have gotten to know over the years. I honestly could not think of a more wonderful group of girls. Most of them are in the health care field as nurses, so they are obviously amazing women and super heroes, am I right?!
Jenn really wanted the water and the giant boulders in her photos, so that’s what I gave her. Although the lighting was not ideal in most spots, which truly challenged me as a photographer to get creative, we worked some magic. I made her dreams come true! We also found the most precious private dock that we finished our photos at as the sun was going down. There were ducks and geese EVERYWHERE! Now, I will go there over and over and over again. Seriously, who knew Arizona could be so beautiful and so different just a few hours away from the Phoenix metro area? I can’t thank Jenn and Kevin enough for trusting me to capture these breathtaking photos at one of the most stunning places in Arizona. Maybe we can go to the Grand Canyon next year!
