Gilbert Backyard Proposal

The hardest part about being an Arizona wedding photographer is being able to capture a Gilbert backyard proposal for an Arizona wedding planner. McKenna is the most ontop of everything type of girl. She thought she knew when her proposal was happening. That made it tough trying to surprise her! However, we managed to do it, and I can’t wait to tell you the story.

McKenna and Seans Gilbert backyard proposal was a dream. Sean started planning it about a month in advance with one of my favorite Arizona florists and dear friend, Snapdragon Bloom Bar. She told him he needed to hire me to get the best photos of the proposal and we got to planning! The most beautiful part of this story is, is that Sean proposed in the exact location where they will be getting married this fall 2026. It will take place in her parents backyard. This Gilbert wedding will be so stunning, if not more, than the proposal. Amber Lynn from Snapdragon Bloom Bar and I laid all of the petals down. She built the floral arrangements. We also got a custom bottle of champagne made with swans for McKenna from Made by Madi. Everything was a dream.

McKenna ended up being SO surprised. She thought she was coming over to see her moms best friend who randomly stopped over in Arizona. She had NO idea. We all hid our cars on a different street. We hid behind bushes in her parents backyard. Everything was a total shock to her. She kept questioning everything and calling us liars (in a loving and joking way of course) and I couldn’t help but laugh. I can’t wait to see their photos from their wedding. It will be nothing short of stunning!
