Emily and James’ Flagstaff forest engagement session was one for the books. From her flowy gown she rented from Desert Gowns. To the beautiful hair and makeup she did herself. To the stunning sunset that we got. I’m totally and utterly obsessed. One of my favorite spots to photograph at in Flagstaff is Buffalo Park at the base of Mount Humphreys.
Emily and James are getting married at the beautiful Secret Gardens by Wedgewood Weddings this April. Thats not where their story started though. These two have been together for a few years and in July 2022 they got engaged on a beautiful beach in Puerto Penasco, Sonora. James had beautiful lit up letters saying “Marry Me” with rose petals everywhere. Tell me that is not the most romantic thing EVER.
Emily loves the beauty Arizona has to offer, but wanted greenery for their background on their engagement photos. What better place than up in the forest of Flagstaff?! Being a Flagstaff engagement and wedding photographer is one of my favorite things because it shows just how diverse and beautiful Arizona can be. Although I do love also being a Phoenix wedding photographer, Flagstaff has a special place in my heart. So to have this Flagstaff forest engagement session, truly just made me heart so happy.
When Emily told me that she was bringing a rented dress, I was thinking maybe something from Lulus; a spot I tell my brides to get their engagement session dresses from. She truly SHOWED UP. This dress from Desert Gowns was big, beautiful, and PERFECTION. Literally obsessed. The flowiness of it truly gave such beautiful dimension and movement to their photo. It just brought it all to the next level.
Come April, keep your eyes out because these two will be plastered all over my social media. Their wedding is going to be one for the books and I can’t wait to share it. So help me in congratulating Emily and James on their engagement, and to celebrating this next chapter in their lives!
