It’s not always blood that makes a family. It’s love. Determination. Togetherness, and among so much more. This was the case for Cheyenne on her wedding day. Although her father isn’t her biological father, you would have never known on her wedding day from the love he showed her, the tears he shed when he saw her in her dress at their first look, and the words he spoke during the reception to congratulate her and Stephen.
When I tell you I cry a lot at weddings, I’m not joking. Thankfully I have a big clunky camera to hide my tears. However, during Cheyenne and Stephen’s wedding I cried the most I ever have. Mind you, up until their wedding day, I had not met them but you would have never known with how well we all clicked to one another. I cried when she did her first look with her dad and grandpa, to when I saw Stephen crying as he saw her for the first time walking down the aisle, to them reading their vows. It doesn’t stop there. I cried at least three more times during their reception; especially when she danced with her grandpa. The water works just kept coming that I’m not even sure how I got any clear images because my eyes were swollen from crying os much. I’m not sure why I was so emotional during their wedding day, but t’s something I remember so vividly. I chop it up to the connection I had with her.
Cheyenne’s personality is unlike any other. It radiates. She’s one hilarious woman and I laughed with her just as much as I cried. She also looks IDENTICAL to my sister-in-law which may have also been the culprit to the crying. We continually joke about it to this day. I sent one of her bridal photos to a few family members and they though I was photographing my sister in law Tanya!
To say this wedding day was one for the books is an understatement. We laughed. We cried. We sang. We danced our hearts out. The love that was in this room for these two was amazing. I would do it all over again if I could because I love these tow much. In the next few weeks, these two beautiful humans will be welcoming their first baby, a little boy Jace, and you already know I am going to love on and spoil him!
