A cloudy day in Arizona is the absolute best. Especially during this February wedding. It was cool weather with no rain in sight which made this desert western Scottsdale Wedding at the beautiful Desert Foothill Events even better. I have shot at this venue countless times and I never get over just how stunning the lighting and sunset is here. With the large red barn, and the stunning desert cacti, it makes for the perfect western/country wedding.
Jesse and Melissa had finally got their chance to settle down after being together for awhile. They had planned this day for so long, and it was finally here. They love everything country and western, so what better way to celebrate than to have a desert western Scottsdale wedding?! From their cacti inspired wedding invitation suite, down to their stunning desert colored floral and macaroon cake, everything was just THEM. I love when couples incorporate everything they love into their wedding and go against societal normals sometimes. Instead of a true bridal party, Jesse and Melissa had their grandchildren and nephews be their bridal party. They wanted them to feel like a big part of their wedding day.
With their love of all things western, Jesse and Melissa actually took dance classes so that they could really wow their guests not only for their first dance, but throughout the entire night. They danced the night away with all of their friends and family. I absolutely loved capturing their special day because it was so unique to them. So help me in congratulating the new Mr. and Mrs. Sorge!
