They say rain is a good omen for wedding days as it is supposed to bring a long lasting marriage. So what a perfect day for Kieran and Shelbys rainy Royal Palms wedding. We don’t typically get so much rain here in Arizona, but this year was crazy. Most couples don’t want rain on their wedding day, but these two embraced it. They got to celebrate their love with their friends and family and that was truly all that mattered to them.
Although it was a rainy Royal Palms wedding, it was an epic one. You got to see every true color that encompasses this venue with their trees, flowers, and architecture. Kieran and Shelby had to move their ceremony inside, under one of the patios, but it was still absolutely stunning. The florals that climbed up their arch, to the string courtet, it was almost as if we were in another country. Although I have shot at many luxury Arizona wedding venues in the Scottsdale area, this by far is one of my favorites I’ve had the opportunity to photograph. Royal Palms is such a stunning venue to hold a wedding.
Shelby and Kieran truly complimented each other. From the quietness of her, to the more bold interactions I had with him, they were truly almost a yin and yang complex. I got to learn a little bit more about them during their portrait session and learned that although they are from Arizona, they currently live in Utah, which would technically make this a destination wedding for them. Shelbys parents frequent the Royal Palms Resort, so it was special to have their wedding day here.
I can’t say enough about this stunning wedding or this sweet couple. It truly was a dream come true to photograph them and their special day. So help me in congratulating these two on their nuptials; to many years of love and happiness Shelby and Kieran!
