Saguaro Desert Couples Session | Liberty + Ryan

From Arizona to Iowa. From high school into college. A college party that turned into a love story. 10 years later and Liberty and Ryan are college sweethearts and live in Idaho together with their two fur babies.

I met Liberty in high school even though we ran in different circles, we had mutual friends and knew of each other. Fast forward ten years later and I had the opportunity to photograph her and her husband Ryan on their vacation back down to sunny Arizona. They traveled all over the state doing all the touristy things before ending up among the giant Sahuaro cacti that Ryan insisted on having since he’s not used to them since he is originally from a small town in Idaho. So I have him ALL the cacti I possibly could at the White Tank Mountains.

These two told me their love story and it was so sweet and funny all at once. They met at a college party where Ryan was smitten when he saw Liberty. However, she was not interested at first and it took a little convincing on Ryan’s party to get the first date. The rest is history and they have been married for 4 years!

I absolutely loved working with these two. They kept me laughing. We reminisced on some old high school stories and people we knew. It was like hanging out with an old friend. Hopefully our paths will cross again and I get these two in front of my camera once more. They were complete naturals!
